Medical Work
Medical education and assistance is one of the greatest needs in the area. AMS has built and continues to oversee a self-sustaining clinic, Engos, to provide these services to the local Maasai. Groups of volunteer doctors and nurses come and assist there as well as serving others throughout the area at traveling bush clinics.
Our next medical group is currently slated for late April 2010. Others with medical qualifications wishing to spend some time with us are welcome to join one of our upcoming individual-based volunteer trips (see Calendar page). Engos Clinic always welcomes medical professionals willing to share their time and skills!
