A Pen-Pal Program

In June 2010 a family came to visit Mara West for a safari. After spending a day visiting the local Oloosinon School, the mother was impressed to do a pen-pal program with her children's fifth grade class in Connecticut and the Engos school here in the Mara. This month volunteers visited the school and helped 71 children with their letters and took pictures of each child. The Oloosinon children were thrilled to receive their letters from children in the States and excited to write replies. A special thank you to Shelly who made this possible!
